Sharing technology knowledge among Young minds

Bangladesh internet Week Seminars and workshops at 50 universities. Sharing technology knowledge among Young minds. There is no alternative to skilled man power in information technology to build developed technology driven Bangladesh.

The traditional education is not enough to achieve the goal at all! It’s essential to skill up workforce in practical knowledge. There are different items in technology world. There have been organized around 50 seminars and workshops at different venues across the country to share latest knowledge of technology especially connectivity with the young students of universities.

BASIS Students’ Forum, a student’s platform of technology has managed those seminars and workshops at 50 universities in country as a part of Bangladesh Internet Week-2015.

There are many important issues like – Big Data, Programming, Freelancing as well as career in ICT discussed at those seminars and workshops where experts from Google and others renowned tech personalities from national and international level shared their experiences with young minds.

BASIS President Shameem Ahsan shared his view on this initiative in Bangladesh Internet Week. He said, “There is no alternative to technology to build Bangladesh as ‘Middle-income Country’ by 2021 and ‘Developed Country’ by 2041 according the vision of government. The young minds are the main stack holders to achieve the goal. Our technologies will spread over the global market with innovation of those tech loving youths.

To achieve the goal, there have been organized around 50 seminars and workshops as a part of the nation-wide Bangladesh Internet Week-2015.” Shameem thinks the young technology learners will get guidelines and they will contribute and take lead to build developed Bangladesh.

Regarding the seminars, BASIS Director Co-convener of Bangladesh Internet Week Ashraf Abir said, “One of the main objectives of the technical seminars is to reach internet literacy among all university students of the country and they will implement in daily life. The young people will toward their goal in goodwill of internet.”

In the meantime, there have been organized different seminars and workshops on different titles across the country, includes ‘Online Earning Opportunities’ at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology(DUET), ‘Freelancing Opportunities’ at Rajshahi College, ‘Cloud Computing’ at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, ‘Freelancing and Digital Marketing : Industry Perspective’ at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh(ULAB), ‘Global Trend of Students’ Services’ at Dhaka International University(DIU), ‘Internet for Future’ at Independent University of Bangladesh(IUB) and a seminar on ‘E-commerce’ at University of Information Technology and Science(UITS).

Over thousands of interested students participated at those seminars and workshops. There will be held around 50 seminars at another 30 universities across the country.
On tomorrow, Tuesday, there will be organised six seminars at different campuses. These are – seminars on ‘Android Development’ at Dinajpur Polytechnic Institute and Dinajpur Computer Technology, ‘iPhone Application Development: Research and Publication’ at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University, ‘Big Data’ at Institute of Science and Technology, ‘PHP Programming’ at Khulna University, ‘Cyber Security and Beyond’ at Barandra University, ‘Freelancing and Affiliated Marketing’ at Eastern University and ‘So You Think You Can Start-up’ at Jagannath University.

There is scheduled thirteen seminars and workshop on Wednesday, fifth day of nation-wide Bangladesh Internet Week. The seminars including, ‘Career Opportunities in ICT Sector and Women Empowerment’ at Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology, ‘Gaming Tools’ at Institute of Science and Technology, ‘Internet Awareness and Beginner Workshop on Android’ at Camilla University, ‘Web Technologies’ at Rajshahi Polytechnic, ‘Internet and Beyond’ at Exim Bank Agricultural University, ‘Internet for Tomorrow’ at Rajshahi University, ‘Freelancing’ at Metropolitron University, North-East University and Noakhali Science & Technology University (NSTU), ‘E-Marketing’ at Leading University, ‘JSP programming’ at NSTU, ‘Micro-controller’ at Shahjalal Jamiah and ‘How Internet can help in your Higher Education?’ at Gono Bishwabidyalay.

Some ten seminars and workshops will be held on September 10, the sixth day of the Bangladesh Internet Week. The seminars, includes, ‘ Ethical Hacking’ at Daffodile International University, ‘Internet Awareness and Beginner wokrshop on Android’ at Comilla University, ‘Internet of things’ at North Bengal International University, Internet of things at BRAC University, Tech Entrepreneur Ananda Niketon, ‘PHP frameworks’, ‘Dot NET programming’ and ‘Programming Contest Importance’ at Noakhali Science & Technology University (NSTU), ‘Career Opportunity’s in ICT Sector’ at North Bengal Institute of Development Studies (NIDS), ‘Internet for Tomorrow, Future of Embedded Technology’ at City University.

On Friday, the closing day of BIW, there will be held three seminars incudes, ‘Higher Education and Internet’ at Rangpur Begum Rokeya University, ‘How to search for Professors in Internet for Higher Studies and Online courses’ at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology and ‘Dream Big – Leveraging Internet for Career’ at The Millennium Stars School and College.

It’s should be mentionable that Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), Information and Communication Technology(ICT) division of Ministry of Post Telecom and Information Technology and Grameenphone organized the nationwide Bangladesh Internet Week-2015, largest Internet literacy campaign in the world.

The leading internet based businesses, mobile software development organizations, web portals and device companies participate here along with other internet based commodities and services organizations. There are taken different initiative related to internet literacy. The visitors get opportunities to experience those internet initiatives practically at the events.
